Outdoor activities
In Portugal, in some regions of the north of the country (especially in Minho), on the night of April 30 to May 1, the tradition consists of putting a branch of “giestas - maias” on the doors and windows at home, on cars, ... everywhere you want to keep bad luck and misfortune far away.

Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Júlio Martins, Chaves/Portugal

The Basic School of Santa Cruz Trindade, belonging to the Group of Schools Dr. Júlio Martins, has about 520 students aged between 3 and 9 years old. 87 teachers work in this educational unit of preschool education and 1st BEC (Basic Education Cycle). The school was inaugurated on October 5, 2010, and is a modern and well-equipped school: all classrooms have a computer and multimedia projector; there is a multipurpose space, where classes of physical education, acrobatic gymnastics, children's choir take place. There is also a canteen, a computer lab and a library integrated into the School Libraries Network (RBE). There is a very large outdoor space, so students can play and enjoy the school playground.
